Almond Milk Recipes

Almond milk is super easy to make and I've listed some of my favorite ways to use it.

Almond Milk
2 cups of sprouted almonds 4 cups of water
Blend items to a creamy, milky consistency. Strain mixture in a cheese cloth to remove almond granules and chill in a glass picture.

Sweet Vanilla Almond Milk

4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of vanilla or 1 vanilla bean

6-10 dates (pitted) to sweeten
Blend items to a creamy, milky consistency. Strain mixture in a cheese cloth to remove almond granules and chill in a glass picture.

Chocolate Milk
2 cups of sprouted almonds
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of vanilla or 1 vanilla bean 6-10 dates (pitted) to sweeten
2 Tablespoons of cacao*

Blend almonds and water until a creamy, milky consistency. Strain mixture in a cheese cloth to remove almond granules. Place the strained mixture into a clean blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend until all items are incorporated and chill in a glass picture.
*Cacao is a wide branched evergreen and is the source of cocoa, chocolate and cocoa butter. Cacao has a nutty, chocolaty taste and can be purchased as a nut or powder at your local health food store or online.

Strawberry Milk
2 cups of sprouted almonds
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of vanilla or 1 vanilla bean
6-10 dates (pitted) to sweeten 1 cup of strawberries

Blend almonds, water and strawberries until a pink, creamy consistency. Strain mixture to remove almond granules and strawberry seeds. Place the strained mixture into a clean blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend until all items are incorporated. Chill in a glass picture.

You can use this method with any type of nut. Make sure you sprout or soak the nuts first and follow the same directions above.

Hope you enjoy!
